TWIST INTERNATIONAL / with Eric Gorfain

2003年春、単身L.A.に渡り、現地アーティスト達(ダグ・アルドリッチ/ex Whitesnake/THE DEAD DAISIES、マーティー・フリードマン/ ex.メガデス、クリス・フレージャー/ex Whitesnake/Foreigne/スティーヴ・ヴァイ etc.、ロイZ 等)と共にレコーディングを敢行、自身初のTWIST SONGをセルフカヴァーしたアルバム「照(しょう)」を完成。同年秋、9/30(コロンビアミュージックエンターティンメント)よりリリース。同時に主力メンバーが来日、日本武道館においてライブを行った。(また、GUILD9 & ソロのライブを収録したDVD「Just Play Rock」もリリースされた。)そして2007年6月、LAにてダグ・アルドリッチらと再会、全編アコースティックサウンドによるレコーディングを行い、同年9/26 「Jacaranda (ジャカランダ)」(Dreamusic)をリリースした。

ブライアン・アダムス、ロッド・スチュワート、エリック・クラプトン、プラント＆ペイジ等のレコーディングやライブにも数多く参加。TWIST INT'Lではサウンドプロデューサーを務め、以来交流を深める。 2004年・2005年とヴァイオリニストとして来日。世良・神本と珠玉のセッションを披露。2006年3/29LIVE DVD「Acoustic Works」をリリース。 現在、クリスティーナ・アギュレラ、ジェームス・ブラント等のアルバムにも参加、自身のユニット"The Section Quartet"も始動し、今後の活動が注目されている。また前記のアルバム「Jacaranda」においてもサウンドプロデューサーを務めている。2013年12月「Acoustic Works2013」に来日。5度目の参加となる。

Eric Gorfain is a violinist, string arranger, producer and engineer. While touring as Concertmaster for Jimmy Page & Robert Plant on their Unledded reunion tour, Eric found his niche combining his classical training and rock and roll sensibility.

Eric soon formed The Section Quartet, which has built a reputation as a first-call session string ensemble in the LA studio scene. As a unit they have performed and/or recorded with a diverse list of artists including David Bowie, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Foo Fighters, Sam Phillips, Iggy Pop, Fiona Apple, Ryan Adams, Banks, Christina Aguilera, Queens of the Stone Age, Cassandra Wilson, Dr. Dre, Linda Perry, Band of Horses, and Snow Patrol. Eric has arranged or orchestrated strings for many of The Section Quartet’s sessions, and recently contributed to Beyonce’s Lemonade, Frank Ocean’s Blonde and Rihanna’s Anti.
